Admission Requirements

The requirements for admission at Bethesida School of Theology are as follows.

  1. The applicant has to be born again Christian.
  2. A member of evangelical church who can get recommendation from his/her church.
  3. A High school or GED graduate

Tuition fee must be paid before each course begin.

Academics Training Levels

BST has created and formalized three programs on Biblical Studies.

1. Certificate in biblical studies:
is required to graduate: 12 courses or 36 credit hours

 

2. Associate Degree in biblical and theological studies:
is required to graduate: 24 courses or 76 credit hours

 

3. Bachelor of Arts in biblical, theological and general courses:
is required to graduate: 34 courses or 96 credit hours

Courses given at BST

First years Courses

First Term 

  • During this semester, four courses will be offered which are basic doctrines and Old Testament surveys. The doctrines include doctrine of the Bible, man, and God the father. These four courses will carry 13 credit hours.

First year’s courses

Second Term 

  •  Four courses with a total of 13 credit hours will be offered. Three of the courses will be a continuation of Old Testament survey. An in-depth study of world religion is also on the list.

Second year courses

Third term 

  • New Testament survey will start here. Those who are in Certificate program will complete their course requirement after taking the Doctrine of Angelology, The Gospel of John, the book of Act and Ecclesiology (the Doctrine of the Church History). All in this term carries four courses and 12 credit hours.

Second year courses

Fourth term 

  • There are four courses will be given in this term the continuation of New Testament Survey and Hermeneutics, Homiletics, also Praise and worship (13 Credit hours)

Third Year courses

 Fifth term 

  • As the study goes deeper it gets exciting and challenging. This semester offers Doctrines of Christ, Holy Spirit, last things, evangelism and church planting. It totals four courses i.e. 13 credit hours.

Third Year courses

Sixth term  

  •  Variety of four courses with 13 credit hours will be offered. Leadership, Marriage Counseling, cults and Doctrine of sin will be offered.  

Fourth Year courses

Seventh term 

  • During this semester four courses of 12 credit hours will be offered. The courses are in-depth studies of theology from the ancient time up to now. Dogmatic theology will be also on the list.

Fourth Year courses

Eight terms 

  • This being the end of the BA program, a couple of projects are included. Contemporary theology, Biblical Holiness, Apologetics and Five-Fold Ministry are among the courses. A total of four courses and two projects with fourteen credit hours.

Course Transfer

Courses can be transferred from another institution based on the following criteria.

  1. Academically, the institution has to be compatible with Bethesida School of Theology.
  2. The institution has to be in good standing concerning integrity and doctrine.
  3. The minimum grade has to be C to be transferred

 

 Required Textbook

Each student has to buy the required textbook and other books that is   recommended by the school.

 

Collateral Reading

Each student is required to read an additional two books on the subject of his/her study.

 

Attendance

Attending each class is very essential to graduate. The course is designated in such a fashion that each class depends on the preceding one. Therefore, attending every class is a Must.

 

Class Time

BST has two ways of teaching classes. One class meets on Thursday and Friday through Teleconference from 9:00pm through 11:00 pm Eastern Time. There is also a live class in Houston, Texas conducted every Saturday from 1:00PM through 5:00PM Pacific time.

 

Research Paper

Every student must select a topic of his/her topic for research paper from the subtitles of his/her course and write on the topic about 5 to 7 pages long. The paper has to have the cover page, table of content, introduction, well researched subject, conclusion, and reference.
